A low-pressure system over the Gulf of Genoa will bringing very humid air masses to the Alps, causing increasingly unstable conditions.
Snow is falling widely and at times heavily in the mountains of South Tyrol. A total of between 15 and 30 cm of fresh snow is expected. The snowfall will ease off in the evening.

A weak transient high-pressure system will dry the air masses over South Tyrol.
Apart from a few residual clouds in the morning, the sun will shine on the mountains for the most part. In the morning, a few patches of fog may still linger at lower elevations.
Forecast
Tuesday will start off very sunny, with clouds rolling in as the day progresses. Wednesday will be cloudy, with widespread rain and snowfall. The snow line is expected to be between 400 and 800 m. On Thursday, the clouds will break up and it will be quite sunny. Friday will bring a mix of thicker clouds and sunny spells.
